We, Filipinos, have our own way of greeting each other. Some simply say a hi or a hello, while others give each other a hi-five. We also have the penchant of personalizing our greetings depending on who the person is. The more unique, the better it is.
Colt 45, the beer brand that a lot of us are familiar with
has Filipinized the “so called” hi-five into a fist bump which they’re introducing as “Sanib Pwersa”. This represents sincerity and
loyalty among comrades.
Colt 45 didn’t only change the salute between friends but
also the taste and look of
their bottle. Greg Anonas, Asia Brewery Inc’s
Marketing Manager for Alcoholic Beverages said that embracing the idea of
celebrating brotherhood allowed them to revolutionize the brand’s flavor and to
optimize sharing by placing the fist bump on their label to symbolize
brotherhood; and work with great brand ambassadors to help make the spirit of “Sanib
Pwersa” come to life.
These changes made by Colt 45 on their brand were made to make the consumers aware that drinking their product is not to promote drunkenness but it is a vehicle to bond, to celebrate brotherhood and to promote camaraderie among friends.
The all new Colt 45 is now available in 7-11, Padi’s
Point, major supermarkets, and sari-sari stores across the country for a
suggested retail price of Php 21 per bottle.
Mag “Sanib Pwersa” na at sama-sama nating lasapin ang
bagong lasa ng Colt 45.
